After all this is Berries and BIKINIS!! I was lucky enough to spend time with Shaun Janni and Niesha Diaz, who work at Slo Swim. These ladies help tons of women each day figure out which suits suit them best out of hundreds of swimsuits! Take and embrace their advice and knowledge because they know what suits you!
Working out can be hard to get into when you aren’t doing something you like. I asked seven girls what they liked to do to stay in shape and have fun. Check it out!
For the past five days, I have been polling a survey of what mascaras girls liked the best. In the survey 11 choices of mascara were up to evaluate. I got the names of these particular mascaras from the TotalBeauty website. This website created a list of the 11 top mascaras. But, my question was were they really top picks? There were 81 girls that took this survey and with their help it was found that some of the mascaras were favorites while others were not.

Want to get back in shape, but don’t know how or where to start? I got in touch with Personal Trainer Sue Conrad of Morro Bay, who has put together a full body workout for people of all fitness levels just for us! This routine does not require equipment or even stepping into a gym.
Sue has been a certified personal trainer since 2001. Sue has done other classes and programs to further her credentials, and you can find them on her webpage.
Sue finds her job enjoyable because she likes helping her clients achieve their goals. As far as weekly exercise, she recommends 20-30 minutes of cardiovascular exercise 3-5 times a week and 20-60 min of strength training 2-3 times per week. If you do this routine correctly, she guarantees a better and more toned you. This video routine contains six different exercises demonstrated by Makena Piercy.
Spring is here and summer is on its way, which means we are starting to work towards our bikini bodies. Some of us might choose to hit the gym while others might choose to diet or do both. But what is the correct way to diet? Does it matter?
I met with Laura Hall, a registered dietitian, meaning an expert in food and nutrition!
She did a year-long internship at UCSF Medical Center and she currently works part time at French Hospital as a clinical dietician. Laura is also an assistant professor in the Food Science Department at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and has been there since January 2009. She teaches clinical nutrition, aging and nutrition, and general nutrition. She also works on senior projects and outside research.
When discussing the topic of dieting with Laura she revealed that she doesn’t like to use the word ‘dieting’ .“I like to think of what we eat and put in our bodies as more of a lifestyle verses an immediate fix.” Continue Reading »
